I have a fairly decent car nowadays.
- Unfortunately, I was driving an old beater for several years, and it constantly cost me money to get random repairs done.
I wish that I could have afforded a new car of some kind. Unfortunately my credit was poor and my income was too low to manage all of that. Instead, I simply drove old used cars that I could actually afford. But with all of the various repair work, it ends up costing more money in the long run to own one of these cars. I was lucky to have a family member who was willing to help me get a new car a couple years ago. He basically loaned me the money for the down payment and helped me find a creditor that would work with me given my credit score. I’m happy that I got this new car because it has worked for me really well over the past few years. The thing I like the most about it beyond the engine and the comfort is the heating and cooling system inside the car. The air conditioner and heater both have a digital temperature control. The heater in particular is particularly strong which comes in handy every winter because our climate has extreme cold temperatures this time of the year. It’s basically a necessity to have a good eater in your vehicle. Especially if you have to commute to work in the mornings when it’s the coldest outside, you’re definitely going to want a good heater in your car. My old used cars always lacked good heaters when I needed them the most.
