I’m back for another round of writing.
I’ll write for 15 more minutes or so and then take another break if I am not done.
I like working in segments like this, taking a rest in between to let the eyes soften and untense for a while before going back for another round of writing. I think a lot of writers work this way, my poet dad included, who often told me he would write for two hours at a time max and then give himself an hour or so break before picking up the pencil to write again. HVAC repairs and service is what he mainly wrote about, concentrating most of his writings on good indoor air quality and the use of HEPA filters anywhere possible. Dad died suddenly at 73 years old, leaving my poor stepmom in shambles and wondering how she would go on without him. She sold the big air conditioned house that pops built and got a small one built with a really good HVAC system. She is going to give all of us kids a big chunk of money each when she is gone and set us all up for the rest of our lives. I am not counting on pop’s heating and cooling business savings to carry me, but it would definitely be a nice little nest egg to have when the time comes. I plan on working for another 15 years part time, so for me I really don’t need the money until I totally call it quits in 20 or so years.
