By only conversing in Spanish with me while we are working on a cooling system or a space furnace in the shop, my heating company is also assisting me in learning the language.

After I finish my labor, we’ll eat my lunch and practice yoga while I listen to my Spanish stories. I feel that if I continue to work on my language skills for a few more months, I will eventually be able to communicate with the locals fairly well. I just need to give the practice one more crucial push, and I’ll be good to go. I have been putting off learning the language for the past seven years that I have lived here abroad. I was regularly attending the classes offered by the local corporation, but after splitting up with my best friend who works in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, I lost some of my enthusiasm for the subject. However, I am back on track now, and for the past month or so, I have been practicing every day. By only conversing in Spanish with me while we are working on a cooling system or a space furnace in the shop, my heating company is also assisting me in learning the language. I enjoy learning the language and am looking forward to joining in on the post-volleyball game banter with the other players. Anyway, this week is just another day, and as usual, I’m working away next to my media air purification system while my cats do their thing and pass the day by the mini split cooling system equipment in my kitchen. In a little while, I’ll go for a ride to get some fresh air, then I’ll go home and finish my work. In conclusion, with consistent practice and the support of my workplace, I am determined to finally overcome my language barrier and fully immerse myself in the local culture.
