Last month’s huge storm took us by surprise. The weather forecaster said Sam and I could face wind gusts over fifty miles per hour, but my friend and I knew the one gust was much stronger than that, and we get a lot of wind shear where Sam and I live, plus the latest sheared half our roof off. They told us it wasn’t a tornado, but wind shear actually halfway removed it… Sadly, being told this made little difference, but regardless of the reason, Sam and I had to have the roof substituted. I called our homeowner’s insurance plus once the insurance agent looked at the roof; he told us to get someone to the home plus they would spend the money for the repairs; Now, Sam and I have another problem. The nearest appointment my friend and I could get was two weeks off, plus it was supposed to rain soon. I called one of the local Amish roofing companies, who took the time to come over to the home plus supply us an estimate to substitute the roof. It was more fancy than what the insurance agent had quoted, but my friend Sam and I needed to have the roof put on. Two days later, even though rain was falling, there were four young boys jumping around on our roof plus completing the substitution. It blew me away to see how straight-forward they made it look to go from side to side of the roof, plus not fall off. When they were done, I called the insurance agent plus sent them the bill. Even though it was higher than they expected, they paid the entire roofing bill. We didn’t get any rain inside our house, which made me blissful.
