Eventually, going up to the family cottage by myself got to me.
It got to me enough that I finally decided to have the talk with my sister that I just genuinely didn’t want to have.
So years ago, my sister proposed that maybe my superb friend and I update the family cottage so that our youngsters and family found it more lovely. I simply couldn’t get my family out of the central air conditioner of the home to even go up to the cottage. But the idea that my superb friend and I would be changing or decorating that venue seemed like the last thing I wanted to do. Dad left the cottage to my sister and myself. This is a cottage on land that has been passed down for generations. So making variations to it was tough for me. Some of the best memories of my childhood was when dad would whisk us out of the air conditioner at condo and up to the cottage. My sister and I would then be in this remarkable, natural and magical environment. There was so much wildlife and plenty of things to do. From hiking awesome trails with dad to swimming in the lake just a hundred yards from the front door, the cottage was awesome. But maybe it was time for residential HVAC and wireless. The thought sort of makes me cringe but if that’s what it takes to get people up there, I was ready to have that conversation. The fact is that I can deal with putting in residential HVAC component if that means I’m not the only one enjoying this incredible spot.
