I’m really glad that we got the furnace fixed before winter started last year! If we hadn’t had it fixed, then we would have been in real trouble.
The weather has been crazy over the past few months and it’s a good thing that we had a furnace that was actually working.
I usually put things like that off but that wasn’t the case this year. It’s really a good thing, too. I don’t know what made me think about doing it, but I called up the local HVAC company to schedule a furnace tune up early in the fall. They came and did some minor repairs on the furnace back then and I guess it was a really good thing, too. The HVAC technician told us that if we had let it go too long, then the furnace would have been in really bad shape. It might not have even lasted through the winter if we had not had it tuned up professionally. Anyway, I usually procrastinate when it comes to things like that and I end up paying for it in the long run. The furnace had been acting up for the past couple of years and I had actually put off getting it fixed for quite a while. I don’t know what made me fix it early in the year this time, though. I guess I just had a premonition that we were going to have a bad winter! The HVAC company has been really busy throughout the winter and so it was a good thing that our furnace was working during all of the cold weather that we had. I don’t think we would have been able to get an appointment otherwise.
