When my wonderful uncle passed away I was completely beside myself; My pal and I always had a superb relationship & kept in touch even when we lived on opposite sides of the country, and when I was much younger, I spent several Summers with my great-aunt at her Victorian home.

I was always getting into trouble, exploring the attic & crawl space & running around the immense yard. I would say my best childhood memories were formed in that home with my wonderful aunt, but she must have realized this, because when she passed away the home was left in my name. I was so beside myself with gratitude & emotion, I swore that I would never change a single thing in the seasoned Victorian home. Well, I have to take that statement back; Last week, I finally had a professional Heating & Cooling corporation arrived at the household to do an inspection on the existing boiler & retrofitted air conditioning. I knew that the Heating and A/C system wasn’t in tip-top shape, because the indoor air felt harshly uneven, moderate & cold, & drafty. It was difficult to keep the indoor air temperature steady throughout the rooms. I was spending a pretty penny on my energy bills each month because of the Heating and A/C & efficiencies. When the ventilation specialists took a look around the house, she hastily found the problem. The existing air ducts were sagging, full of holes, & filled with animal debris. I know I said I wouldn’t change anything in the house, although I have to fully replace & reinstall the air ducts immediately.
