The only problem with buying such an old house, is the fact that it came with old heating and cooling.
You see all of the time these new homes are being built and with these new homes comes great, fantastic new HVAC technology, the greatest equipment they have in the HVAC industry.
I was not so lucky, since I bought an older home. But really, I can’t complain, just because there was no way I would have been able to afford a new home anyways, really, I should just count my blessings that I was able to get my current home. I never thought I would actually get to be a homeowner at all. So this is a bit of a dream come true for me. Dealing with the old cooling unit can be frustrating sometimes though, because it breaks down often, and is not very efficient. Even when it is working, the heat and A/C machine you can barely feel through the A/C vents. So with all of that being said, it is easy to see why I am saving up for a brand new central air conditioning machine. I will probably go with the central A/C device, but I am somewhat considering a geothermal heat pump. I heard a lot of good things about them, but I would have to learn more about them before I would consider getting one. I already know the central cooling machine, so I know what to expect with those machines. I am going to get the opinion of the cooling experts, and see what they think.
