You know, I thought the days of door to door salesmen had come and gone, but I guess not. This morning I had the most interesting interaction with somebody that was a heating and A/C worker. I didn’t ever feel I would see a heating and air conditioning worker come to my door, but yet early this morning there he was sitting on my front porch knocking on my door. When I opened the door I saw that this guy that was sitting on my front porch was wearing the uniform of a local heating and A/C supplier. He happily greeted me and explained that he was giving away free air filters. When he first told me this I said I have to go, because who gives away free air filters? But he explained that it was a freebie that the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company was doing to get people more interested in their Heating, Ventilation, and A/C products. He then handed me one and said to try it and he told me that I would adore it. After all, that was a free air filter and I didn’t see anything to lose, so I decided to go ahead and take it from him and give it a try. Upon closer inspection I observed that this wasn’t just any free air filter, it was a free HEPA filter. I was undoubtedly surprised, as those filters are expensive and are some of the best air filters that you can get! I couldn’t think that I had just been given one for free. This week was my lucky week I guess.
