My hands are still sticky from the sea, as I took a cold dip in the sea an hour ago and haven’t washed my hands yet.
I need to though because the salt from the sea makes your hands actually sticky for some reason.
Today I will work at home for a little while and then get some work done around the house before taking a little nap to refresh my mind. I need to charge the batteries in my sound system too because they are getting a bit tired themselves and I don’t want it dying while playing in air conditioned clubs like the one tonight. We are playing in a beach bar later for $200 and need the sound system good for two hours, so I will charge it up now to make sure we don’t run out of juice in the middle of our set. We also get tips at the local business and usually go home with close to $300 for the night, which is good because doing that a few times a week pays all my bills for the month. I can’t wait for the winter season so we can play in heated bars and in some other arenas with fireplaces by the stage. We change up the music a bit in the winter season and make more songs about snow and skiing and things like that. It is a good life being in a band and doing what you love, even though I still work some as a Heating and A/C tech for the local corporation in town to save a little money.
