Now that Spring is finally here, it’s time to start thinking about Summer.

Before you know it, temperatures will be hot, humid, and sweltering.

And though many people love the Summer months, I tend to spend much of the days inside basking in my comfortable air conditioning. Don’t get me wrong, I love going to the beach as well as to the parks during the Summer, but on those days when the temperature soars into the 90s and the humidity is at an all time high, I would rather avoid being outside all together. Not to mention if the sun is as hot as it has been over the last couple of years, I do my best to stay away from it. Anyway, one of my main concerns during the Summer months is that my air conditioner will break down on the hottest day of the year. And I have this fear because it happened a few years ago, and I never want to live through that again. Because it was busy season, it took 2 days for my HVAC technician to fix my unit. And trust me, living without air conditioning for those 2 days felt like an eternity. So, in an effort to avoid having a broken air conditioner during the Summer, I am preparing my HVAC unit now to deal with the heat. First, I am cleaning the debris from the coils as this will improve the airflow. Secondly, I have changed my air filter, and I have removed all the debris from around the outdoor condenser. And most importantly, I have scheduled an appointment with my HVAC technician, and he will be here next week.
